Once again,
Capt. Keen Anthony Mendillo M Blue Water Encounters along with Lawrence Berry hosted a visit of their friends Dr. Guy Harvey, renowned marine wildlife artist and conservationist, he was acompanied by Dr. Molly Lutcavage, one of the top authorities of large pelagic species.
Harvey is an active and open supporter of the conservation of marine species, having established the Guy Harvey Research Institute (GHRI) at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, an organization that funds research scientific and educational initiatives.
The reason for his visit in January 2012 to Isla Mujeres was to continue with his underwater footage and behavioral studies of Atlantic sail fish for one of his documentaries which will also include footage of the whale sharks in the Isla Mujeres area.
Isla Mujeres is a very important strategic place for the observation of these species, which is followed by very important people like Dr. Guy Harvey and Dr Molly Lutcavage.
